Haritrushi Purohit Biography 
Haritrushi Purohit is a promising young film director associated with the renovation of Gujarati cinema in the recent times. This adman turned movie director made one of the best entertainers in the recent times - ‘Apne To Dhirubhai’, a comedy film with a message. The film starred Bollywood’s populart comedy man Vrajesh Hirjee and struck the right chord with the audience. The movie also starred Jayaka Yagnik and Bhakti Rathod in the pivot roles. With a fresh topic which earned huge appreciation, the director feels that outdated stories won’t work at box office at present.
Purohit belongs to the new generation of film makers who have made a great change to Gujarati cinema in the recent times. Such leading names include - Dhwani Gautam of ‘Romance Complicated’ fame, Vikay K Patel of Canvas fame, Abhishek Jain who gave two blockbusters - Kevi Rite Jaish and Bey Yaar, Tapan Vyas of Paaghadi fame, Druma Mehta who directed the short film - ‘Phor You’ etc. In fact it’s to be noted that this young directors have made commercially bit hits with their experimental debut film itself.
His graduation was completed at Kotak Science College and later he worked in 7th Sense Concepts as Creative Director before his film debut as a director. He is a Copywriter turned creative director turned film director. Till now he has created a few brands like Hathi Masala, Tea Post etc. His Gujarati feature film "Aapne To Dhirubhai" ran for more than 45 weeks in theatres. He is a self-taught film maker who wants to bring new changes to Gujarati cinema, in coloration with talented artists.
