John Abraham (actor) Biography
John Abraham is an Indian actor and a model who concentrates in Hindi film industry. He entered the film industry in the year 2003 through the film Jism and his first film itself won him award establishing his career in film industry. He then got many chances and gave many hit films.
John Abraham was born on 17th December 1972 in Mumbai in Maharashtra and his birth name was Farhan Abraham. His father is a Malayali and belongs to Syro-Malabar Catholic Nasrani community and his mother is a Parsi named Firoza Irani. He has one younger brother named Alan. He completed his schooling at Bombay Scottish School at Mahim in Mumbai and joined Jai Hind College where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in economics. He got MMS from Mumbai Educational Trust.
He had live in relationship with the actress Bipasha Basu and after 9 years of relation, it broke up in 2011. He met Priya Runchal in Mumbai in 2010 and started to live with her who is financial analyst from USA. Abraham John is a philanthropist who has donated a huge sum of money to the Lilavati Hospital and Research Center at Mumbai. Abraham is an agnostic atheist.
He started his career as a model and his first music video is for the song Surma by Punjabi Singer Jazzy B. He then worked with various companies such as Carrie Models, Enterprises-Nexus and Time and Space Media Entertainment Promotions Ltd. He took part in the Gladrags Manhunt Contest of 1999 and won second place in the contest held at Philippines.
He has appeared in many music videos of different singers such as Pankaj Udhas, Hans Raj Hans, Babul Supriyo, etc. All these ventures gave him a chance to perform in the film and his debut movie was a thriller film named Jism in 2003. Then he got chances to perform in more films such as Saaya, Dhoom, Lakeer-Forbidden Lines, etc.
Some of the films that he has acted include Aetbaar, Paap, Dhoom, Elaan, Karam, Kaal, Water, Garam Masala, Zinda, Baabul, Kabul Express, Hattrick, No Smoking, Dostana, Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal, Luck by Chance, Jhootha Hi Sahi, 7 Khoon Maaf, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Force, Desi Boyz, Shootout at Wadala, etc.
He also produced some films and his debut film as a producer was Vicky Donor in 2012 and he too appeared in an item number in that film. It was a commercial success and gained positive reviews. He also produced the film Salaam-e-Ishq: A Tribute To Love.
