Kausar Mohiuddin Biography 
Kausar Mohiuddin is a well-known politician from the newly formed south Indian state Telangana. He is currently a Member of Telangana Legislative Assembly representing the constituency, Karwan from the Old City of Hyderabad. He is a member of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen party, and a prominent Muslim leader from Telangana.
He currently resides in Tolichowki, Telangana with his wife Najma Sultana. She is a corporator from the same party representing the Nanal Nagar constituency. Kausar was born in Hyderabad, and has 5 brothers. His family owned an agricultural land, and during his younger days he was interested in vising their farm. He studied from Anwarul Uloom College, Mallepally.
He successfully contested the Telangana state assembly elections in 2014, soon after the state was formed. Initially Afsar Khan was to represent Karwan seat. But due to his health issues, the party chief Asaduddin Owaisi announced Kausar’s name as the candidate. By that time Kausar was already a popular leader among local politicians, who worked at the grass root level and earned praises from senior level leaders. He defeated Baddam Bal Reddy of the Bharatiya Janata Party by 38 thousand votes. After this win by a huge margin, he became a member of first legislative assembly of Telangana.
Currently he is a prominent leader of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen party. His party stood for state assembly elections for the first time in 1989 and got defeated. The party unsuccessfully contested 1994 state assembly elections too. He is not free of controversies too. In 2017 a case was registered against him for physically assaulting a woman and a party worker. He obstructed to the demolition of a 30 feet compound wall in Banjara Hills in 2017, and hogged in limelight for a while.
