Lin Laishram Biography

Lin Laishram is an Indian model and actress from the state of Manipur. She is also an entrepreneur. She is a familiar face in modelling industry and is a ramp model. She is an international model, who was earlier lived in New York, and also worked as a model there. She was the first Manipuri model who went on national television wearing a swimsuit, which invited controversies, and she has been a Kingfisher calendar girl, which earned her spotlight. She has played brief roles in several Bollywood films and narrowly missed the opportunity to play the lead role in Mary Kom.

Lin Laishram’s full name is Linthoingambi Laishram. She was born on 19 December 1985 in Imphal, Manipur. She owns a successful modelling career both in India and New York. She was discovered by Elite modelling agency, Mumbai and very soon she turned a ramp model. As a film actress, she got the first opportunity to show face for Shah Rukh Khan starrer Om Shanti Om. She made a cameo appearance as SRK’s friend in the movie. Later she was seen in Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, Hat-trick, Rangoon, Mary Kom, Umrika etc. However she is yet to play a memorable full-length role in Hindi cinema, though she owns a very successful career in Indian modelling industry.

Now she is quite popular with print ads, and she often adorns Indian traditional costumes and jewellery. While at New York she has worked with many renowned photographers, make-up artistes and stylists. She is a trained archer from Tata Archery academy in Jamshedpur and was a Junior National Champion in 1998 Nationals held in Chandigarh. She owns a jewellery line, Shamooo Sana, which she started in 2017.
