Midhun Manuel Thomas Biography 
Midhun Manuel Thomas is a budding film director associated with Malayalam cinema. He shot to fame with his comedy flick, Aadu starring Jayasurya and a bunch of comedians in 2015. Though the movie was a box office failure, it received a cult classic status later, and immensely popular through television telecasts. A goat plays the central character in the film. He also directed its sequel, Aadu 2 in 2017 with the same star cast, and the movie was a box office hit. Midhun Manuel Thomas marked his film debut as the screenwriter of 2014 highly acclaimed and successful film, Ohm Shanthi Oshaana starring Nazriya Nazim and Nivin Pauly. The movie was directed by the debutant Jude Anthany Joseph.
Midhun Manuel Thomas was born on 18 September 1983 in Paralikkunnu, Kambalakkad, Wayanad. He completed Master of Social Work degree and then worked in Dubai for two years before he moved back to start a business. But he lost whatever he earned in business, and later turned to screenwriting. He marked his debut with Ohm Shanthi Oshaana in 2014; he wrote the story and co-scripted the movie as well. The movie was well praised for its strong plot, performances of actors and fresh treatment of a love story.
In 2015 he scripted and directed the movie, Aadu, known for its hilarious comedy scenes, and the lead character Shaji Paappan played by Jayasurya. In 2016 release Ann Maria Kalippilaanu also received positive reviews. He continued his success streak with Alamara and Aadu 2. After the success of Aadu 2, its sequel has been announced, and he is working on the sequel of Kottayam Kunjachan as well.
Actor Aju Varghese is a permanent fixture in almost all film projects. In fact Aju came to spotlight for the first time through the movie, Ohm Shanthi Oshaana playing Nazriya’s cousin, and the movie was scripted by Midhun. The film played a magnificent role in establishing Aju as a comedy actor in Malayalam.
