Nauheed Cyrusi Biography

Nauheed Cyrusi is a successful model and actress of Bollywood. She has worked as a video jockey of music channels also. She has appeared in leading role in movies like Lakeer, Anwar, Ada … A way of life, Life Mein Kabhie Kabhiee, Holiday and Supari. She is most remembered for the album ‘Piya basanthi re’ released in the year 2000. She appeared in two of its music videos – the title track and Surmayi Aankhen, sung by Chitra and Sultan Khan. The album and its music video became such a huge success that she soon got offers from Bollywood. She has also appeared in television ads of Head & Shoulders, Dhara refined oil, Britannia Little Hearts Biscuits, Ever Yuth Orange Peel-Off Skin Vitaliser and Himalaya herbals.

Nauheed was born on 19 October 1982 in Mumbai. She studied in J.B. Vacha School, and graduated from Jai Hind College and Basant Singh Institute of Science, Mumbai. Her ambition was to become an air hostess. But her entry to modeling changed her decision and later she became an actress. She appeared in the ad of Dhara refined oil when she was only 14. Later she went on working in many television ads, music videos and finally in movies.

She worked in a small role in television serial ‘Hip hip hurray’. Purab Kohli, her co-actor of the serial recommended her name to Padam Kumar. She made her film debut in Padam Kumar's Supari opposite Uday Chopra. But the movie was flop in box office. Director Vikram Bhatt chose her for Inteha opposite Ashmit Patel.  One of the highlights of her career was the movie ‘Lakeer’ where she was paired opposite John Abraham. Songs of A. R. Rahman used in his Tamil movie – Rhythm were directly used in the movie and she was featured in the song, ‘Jee kartha hai’ sung by Kavita Krishnamurthy and Shaan.

She has also worked in movies like - Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi, Life Mein Kabhie Kabhiee, Agar, Mein aur Mrs. Khanna, Sirf, Aasma: The Sky Is the Limit, 42 Kms, Bhootnath and Kisaan.
