Naveen Mayur Biography

Naveen Mayur was a well-known south Indian actor who predominantly worked in Kannada cinema. 'Hello', 'Ninagoskara', 'Neenandare Ishta', 'Sparsha', 'Uppi Dada MBBS', 'Poorvapara', 'Preeti Mado Hudugarigella', 'Nanna Hendati Kole', 'Avanandre Avane' and 'Neela' are some of his popular films. He was only 32 when he died on 3 October 2010 due to jaundice. He was fully active in film industry when he passed away, and the movie, 'Lav Lavike' was released posthumously. He has also appeared in one TV serial, Danda Pindagalu. He was a bachelor.

 

Naveen Mayur completed his primary education at Sri Kumaran's School. Later he completed his schooling from National High School in Jayanagar. He later completed his Master’s in Business Administration from Sri Mahaveer Jain College. Right from college days, he was interested in acting and used to participate in cultural events. He also became a part of several college plays in those days. ‘Naanu Neenu' was one of his popular plays during his theatre days.

 

He made his film debut with Sparsha. It was the first movie of Sudeep’s home production. From there on he acted in around 15 movies with mixed responses. He was casted in the lead role for Lovelavike, but the movie never got released. Though he was fully active in the film industry, playing character roles, his career never took off. In fact he took a small break from films, following series of flops and worked in a private firm. Yet he returned back.

 

Naveen Mayur had just returned from a pilgrimage where he visited places like Dharmastala. He was attacked by jaundice, and couldn’t be saved. He was undergoing treatment of the disease for the last few months. He died while sleeping at home.
