Neelima Rani Biography
Neelima Rani is a noted actress of Tamil cinema and television. She entered film world as a child artist and has appeared in a few movies in the 1990s - Thevar Magan, Virumbugiren and Pandavar Bhoomi. She has acted in TV soaps - Thendral and Chellame. She played her first lead role on Television at the age of 15. The series was Acham Madam Naanam — Brindavanam. The actress considers tele serials as a stepping stone to movies. Though she has reduced her television works after reaching cinema, she has no plans to quit TV industry.
She was born in Chennai on August 28, 1983. She was studying in school while she faced camera for the first time. She did many movies during this time. Neelima started her career as a child artist in Oru Pennin Kathai and played her first lead role on Television at the age of 15. It was for the first time she faced camera with seriousness and responsibility. She used to do numerous movies during summer vacation at school. Later she concentrated on to her television career and serials like Metti Oli, Kolangal and Bhairavi have given her a lot of recognition. She has always received roles drastically different from the other and helped her to improve her acting skills.
She played a young college student falling head-over-heels in love with Prithviraj in Mozhi (2006). She was also seen in Thimiru and Santhosh Subramaniam doing supporting roles. She played the crucial character Sudha, Kajal's friend in Karthi-Kajal Aggarwal starrer Naan Mahan Alla. She worked as a producer for a film shot at Fuji Island and for the same reason she quit the TV series - Thendral.
