Parvathy Omanakuttan Biography
Parvathy Omanakuttan is an Indian film actress and model who came to limelight after winning the Miss India World 2008 title and ending up as the runner up in Miss World Asia and Oceania at the Miss World 2008 contest.
She was born on 20th December 1987 in Kottayam in Kerala. Her father’s name is Omanakuttan Nair and her mother’s name is Sreekala. She has one younger brother named Jaysurya. Though her native place is Changanassery in Kerala her parents quitted the place and came to live in Mumbai when she was seven months old as her father was working at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai at that time. She completed her schooling at SCDB High School and obtained her degree in English language and literature from Mithibai College at Mumbai.
She started walking the ramp when she was still pursuing her education. She has won various honors during her college days namely Miss Malayali 2005, Malayali Manka 2005, Navy Queen 2006, Lions Club Dreamgirl 2007, Miss Sarva Vidyalaya Kelvani Mandal 2006 and Navy Queen 2007.
She was honored with Pantaloons Femina Miss India South 2008 at the International Convention Center in Hyderabad in December 2007. She also won the PFMIS 2008 contest which paved way for her entry into the final list of the Pantaloons Femina Miss India.
When she participated in the Femina Miss India 2008 contest, she not only won the Miss India World crown but also bagged some other titles like Miss Photogenic, Miss Personality and Miss Beautiful Hair.
As she won the Miss India World title, she represented the country in the 58th Miss World Final and got second place in the Miss World Top Model contest and ended up as the first runner up in the Miss World 2008 Beach Beauty contest.
All these victories gave her chance to act in the film. She entered the Hindi film industry through the film United Six by Vishal Aryan Singh. She also acted in a Malayalam film titled Madan Kolli. Some of her films are underway.
