Pranav Mohanlal Biography

Pranav Mohanlal is an upcoming Malayalam actor, best known as the son of legendary Malayalam actor – Mohanlal. He won Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist for the year 2002 for his outstanding performance in Punarjani directed by Major Ravi. The movie marked the directorial debut of Major Ravi as well. It is rumoured that Pranav will be launched by none other than South's most famous and maverick director Maniratnam, through his forth coming film. But Mohanlal has explained that said the youngster had no such plans as of now. Pranav has earlier played the younger role of Mohanlal in Onnanan and has also played a cameo role in Mohanlal starrer Sagar Alias Jackey Reloaded. He was seen in the final shot of the movie. It’s also reported that he will be soon seen in Major Ravi’s another movie.

Pranav was born in Thiruvananthapuram as the son of famous actor Mohanlal. After appearing in a few movies as a child artist, he gave his full preference to studies and has always remained away from limelight. He has also disapproved many film roles in this period. Lal and Pranav had appeared jointly for the audio release of Karmayodha which is a rare sight and they together appeared for promotion of their Kerala cricket team, Kerala strikers in the recent times.

As rumours are in the air of his big launch to film industry, there is plenty of speculation and anticipation as well. Already Mammootty’s son Dulquer Salmaan is a youth sensation after the success of Ustad Hostel, ABCD and the most recent release, Bangalore days through which he stole millions of hearts. Jayaram’s son Kalidasa has also established himself as an actor. Many more star kids are entering film industry. So expectations are many for Pranav as well.
