Prasad Oak Biography
Prasad Oak is a noted Marathi actor who works in movies. He is a film producer too, who is also known as a poet, writer, singer and anchor. Apart from movies, he has also acted in television series, Awaghachiya Sansar aired on ZEE Marathi which established him as a star. He played negative shaded role in this television series. He has also participated in the celebrity round of singing contest on ZEE Marathi, SaReGaMaPa where won to become Ajinkyatara. He has also rendered his voice for a few Marathi film songs. He started his film journey as an assistant director and later moved on to acting. He has successfully anchored the television show, Bhanda Suakhyabhare that completed 500 episodes.
He was born in Pune in 1972. He studied at Bhave High School and BMCC College, both from Pune. He is married to Manjulika and the couple has two children. Prasad started his career behind camera as an assistant director for the play Premachi Goshta. His first break as an actor happened through television serial, Bandhini, where he was paired with Mrunal Kulkarni. Later he appeared in television series like Diya aur Baati hum, Gharkul, Damini, Bhanda Saukhyabhare, Honaar Sun Me Hya Gharchi etc. He acted in both Marathi and Hindi television serials.
He was also associated with theatre as a stage actor for the plays – Adhantar, Usna Navra, Ya Ghar Apalach Age and Lahanapan dega deva. Ashtaroop Vaibhav Laxmi Mata marked his acting debut onscreen and later he appeared in many Marathi movies, doing supporting and character roles. His songs for the movies, Doghat Tisra...Ata Sagal Visra and Joshi Ki Kamble are quite popular.
