Priyanka Thimmesh Biography
Priyanka Thimmesh is an Indian actress, who works in south Indian film industry. She made her film debut in the 2015 Kannada film Ganapa, and later appeared in Malayalam and Tamil films also. She marks her Malayalam debut with period film - Kayamkulam Kochunni, and the film is slated to release in 2018. Made on a huge budget of 45 crore Indian rupees, it is the most expensive Malayalam film up-to-date. Priyanka plays the parallel lead in the film, and shares screen space with Mohanlal, Nivin Pauley and Priya Anand, one of the big releases of the year. She is currently working on her debut Tamil film too (an untitled project) apart from 5-6 movies belonging to different languages. Thus the young actress has a promising career ahead.
Priyanka Thimmesh hails from Bhadravathi, Shivmoga, Karnataka. Her father Thimmesh is a businessman, and her mother Girija is a homemaker. She has one elder brother. Priyanka holds a Diploma in Computer Science. Her acting career started with TV serials. She was first seen in Suvarna TV’s Preethienda as Kashmiri girl Gulabi. Prabhu Srinivas's critically acclaimed Ganapa marked her film debut in 2015. After that she accepted projects belonging to different south Indian languages, and she has been mostly featured in supporting roles.
Akira and Pataki are her other Kannada movies, and she is currently working on Kannada projects – Johncena, Bheema Sena Nala Maharaja, Chilum and Arjun Gowda. She is also working on her debut Malayalam flick, Kayankulam Kochunni, which is a meaty role up-to-date. She is to enter Tamil film industry with two releases back to back - Uttara Maharaja and an untitled project. Her second lead role in Pataki was well appreciated.
