Pulkit Samrat Biography
Pulkit Samrat is a Bollywood and television actor and a successful model. Most recently he acted in Bollywood Black comedy, Fukrey which was a box office hit. He became popular as an actor through longest running daily soap of Indian television - Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi where he played the role of Lakshya Virani. O teri, Jai ho, Dolly ki doli and Bangistan are his upcoming movies.
Samrat was born and brought up in a large Punjabi joint family in Shalimar Bagh, Delhi. He was born on December 29, 1983. His family is engaged in real estate business. His school days were spent at Manav Sthali School, New Rajendra Nagar and Montfort Senior Secondary School, Ashok Vihar, Delhi. Then he joined an advertising course at Apeejay Institute of Design, Delhi. During this time, he started receiving modelling assignments. He quit his studies and moved to Mumbai where he took up an acting studying course, to pursue a career in entertainment industry. Later he completed Bachelor in Multimedia from Asian School Of Media Studies, Noida. He is engaged to Shradha Rohira, a television journalist.
It was in 2005 he shifted to Mumbai and he got a role in popular television series, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. It was through this daily soap that he came to limelight. He joined the show in 2006 and quit it one year later for treatment of back pain. But this role fetched him Best Fresh New Face Award at The Indian Telly Awards and Favourite Naya Sadasya (Favourite Newcomer) at Star Parivaar Awards. He debut big screen with Bittoo Boss in 2012, which was a box office failure. But Fukrey was a sleeper hit and received good reviews and now, he is set to fly high in Bollywood.
