Rahul Singh Biography
Rahul Singh, earlier known as Rahul Maharya is a Bollywood actor known for portraying supporting and character roles. His mother Prabha Thakur is a noted poet and politician who currently serves as a member of Rajya Sabha, representing Rajasthan and Indian National Congress. This talented actor is known for the supporting roles of Zubeida, 'Khiladi 786', Chalo Dilli and Stanley ka Dabba. He is equally successful in television roles and one among those actors who tasted success in both forms of media. The role of politician Brij in Bag Films’ Sapno Ke Bhanwar Mein on Life OK is one of the successful roles on small screen. The role of Priest/Principal in Stanley ka dabba and Raja Digvijay "Uday" Singh in Zubeidaa are his best works. He played the role of Khureshi in comedy flick - Tere Bin Laden.
His full name is Kunwar Zorawar Rajendra Singh Mahiarya, born in 1968 in Udaipur, Rajasthan. He completed studies from Mayo College in Ajmer and St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. While at college he was associated with street plays and scripted more than 50. He also acted in street plays as a social work. In 1998 he appeared in Bollywood flop – China Gate. He also appeared in Akshay Khanna – Sonali Bandre starrer ‘Dahek: A Burning Passion’. Zubeidaa in 2001 was his first noted performance.
Later he played brief roles in Kyon ho gaya na, Kya Love Story Hai, Firaq, Sikandar, Darna mana hai, Kisna, Satta, Well done Abba, Jail, Tere Bin Laden, Bheja Fry 2, Hum Tum Shabana, Delhi Belly, Jayanta Bhai Ki Luv Story, Chalo dilli, Bas itna sa khwaab hai, Yadein etc and has been regular in Bollywood over years. He currently portrays the lead role in TV serial Sapno Ke Bhanwar Mein.
