Rajat Barmecha Biography 
Rajat Barmecha is a Bollywood film actor better known for the lead role as a teenager in critically acclaimed movie – Udaan. The movie received numerous awards at various award functions including maximum awards at prestigious Filmfare. He played a cameo role in 2011 movie Shaitan and has also acted in short films, Gulmohar and The Finish Line. Rajat is to team up with Vivaan Shah, the younger son of actors Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah, for his upcoming movie – Disco valley. The movie is directed by Sajit Warrior. He is one of the most promising young actors of Bollywood at present.
Rajat Barmecha was born on April 24, 1989 in Ladnun, Rajasthan and brought up in Delhi. He was born in a business family. He did his schooling at Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar, Delhi. He spent most of my time in Sarita Vihar, my maternal grandmother’s place where he used to play sports. He dreamt of becoming an actor since childhood days. Though brought up in a business family, he was encouraged by his parents and elder brother to pursue his dreams in entertainment industry. His sister Ritu Barmecha is also an actor. He initially worked as a jewellery designer in Mumbai, but quit after a week or two.
He debut big screen with Udaan, playing a teenager Rohan. He plays the role of son of Ronit Roy with whom he doesn’t share a good relationship. The movie is about how young Rohan becomes independent of his arrogant father and this movie is regarded as a cult classic. For this role, he was nominated for a Screen Award for Most Promising Newcomer – Male. Rajat regards himself as a spiritual person.
