Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu Biography
Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu is an Indian politician from Srikakulam, belonging to Telugu Desam Party. He currently serves as a Member of Parliament, representing Srikakulam Lok Sabha constituency since 2014. He is also the youngest National General Secretary of Telugu Desam Party. He is the son of famous politician Kinjarapu Yerran Naidu who entered active politics after his father’s death in 2012. He is one of the youngest and influential leaders from Telugu Desam Party at present.
Ram was born into a political family of Andhra Pradesh. He was born on 18 December 1987 in Nimmada, Andhra Pradesh as the son of famous Telugu Desam leader, Kinjarapu Yerran Naidu. A prominent leader of the party, his father served as MLA, MP and also a cabinet minister in UDF ministry in the second half of 1990s. Ram completed his schooling from his hometown, Srikakulam, and for higher studies he moved to USA, where he completed his Under Graduation in Electrical Engineering in Purdue University and also MBA at Long Island University. He worked for a year in Singapore before he returned to India and joined politics. He married Sravya Bandaru in 2017, who belongs to a political family of Andhra Pradesh.
When the senior leader Kinjarapu Yerran Naidu died of heart attack following an accident in 2012, aged only 55, Ram joined active politics. He was only 25 years then. He followed his father’s legacy, and contested in parliament elections in 2014, where he was declared as winner. He got elected from Srikakulam Constituency, a seat previously held by his father. He is the second youngest Member of Parliament and was only 26 years old when he entered Lok Sabha. Dushyant Chautala holds the record of the youngest Member of Parliament ever, who also joined the same Lok Sabha. He is only four and a half months younger to Ram.
