Rekha Rana Biography

Rekha Rana is an Indian model and Bollywood actress. She is the title holder of Miss Delhi 2007 and made her Bollywood debut through 2012 movie, Ab Hoga Dharna Unlimited. Her second release was ‘Tara the journey of love and passion’ the same year and in both these movies she played female lead. Her debut movie was based on the theme of Anna Hazare's Dharna. She has won Best Actress Award for her performance for a short film - Take Proper care at Rangs Singapore movie festival 2010. She had a brief stint in theater too. She appears in the bilingual film - ‘I hate Valentine's Day’.

Rekha Rana was born in New Delhi. She spent her childhood days in Delhi itself. She was associated with dancing, swimming and drama competitions during her school days. She schooled at High School Green Field, New Delhi. She completed graduation in English from Delhi College of Arts and Commerce. She is a state level swimming champion under 18. After graduation she studied at Barry John Acting School. She has been a successful stage actress. She played female lead in Dinesh Thakur's Jis Lahore Nahi Dekhiya Oh Jameya Nahi. She has already done 48 stage shows around the world with this renowned theater director.

She shot to fame after winning Miss Delhi contest in 2007. She also got the subtitles - Photogenic Face and Beautiful Smile for the same beauty pageant. She is also known as a philanthropist and is the brand ambassador for South African NGO called 'Star NGO'. Her latest release ‘Tara the journey of love and passion’ is the story of a woman's struggle against prejudices in her village and the lead role is played by Rekha.
