Sabyasachi Mishra Biography

Sabyasachi Mishra is one of the chocolate heroes of Oriya cinema at present, known for romantic roles. His debut movie, Pagala Premi earned him the Orissa State Film Award for Best Actor. Though known for his romantic and lover boy kind of roles, he has proved his versatility in handling comic as well as serious roles. He has also done negative shaded roles, physically and mentally challenged kind of roles and action. With the movie, ‘Mu eka tumara’ he completed 25 films in the industry.

Mishra was born in Burla on October 6, 1985. He entered entertainment industry through music videos. Saroj Satpathy, album director introduced him in an album song for the program 'Rangarang' of Doordarshan Oriya. Later he became very popular through music videos and has appeared in more than 200 album songs before entering big screen. Apart from Oriya, he has also appeared in Bhojpuri, Bengali, Chatishgadi and Punjabi music videos during this time. Film Director Hara Patnaik spotted him performing in a stage show and offered him the lead role for the movie Pagala Premi. The movie released in 2007 was a box office hit and gave him best actor state award as well.

Though known for chocolate roles, he has appeared as a physically challenged character in ‘Keun Duniaru Asila Bandhu’ and anti-hero role of 'Mu Sapanara Soudagar’ and both these roles were critically acclaimed. Mu Eka Tumara, released in 2013 is his last released movie. His other movies are - Om Sai Ram , Kebe Tame Naha Kebe Mu Nahi, Emiti Bi Prema Hue, Kemiti E Bandhana, Chandini, I Miss You, Dosti, Chatire Lekhichi Tori Naa,  Sasura Ghara Zindabad, Aakhi Palakare Tu, Dil Tate Deichi, Sasura Ghara Zindabad, Megha Sabari Re Asiba Pheri, Tora Mora Jodi Sundara, Love Dot Com, Dream Girl, Tu Mori Pain, Pagala Karichi Paunji Tora, Dhire Dhire Prema Hela, Mate Ani Dela Lakhe Phaguna, Bande Utkala Janani and To Bina Bhala Lagena.
