Sasikumar Biography
Sasikumar is an Indian film director and an actor who is also noted for producing some village themed films. He primarily concentrates in Tamil film industry.
He was born on 30th November 1975 in Madurai in Tamil Nadu. His father’s name is Mahalingam and his mother’s name is Padmavathy. He completed his bachelor’s degree in business administration and worked in a jewelry shop. His uncle Kandasamy produced the film Sethu in 1999 and he worked as an assistant director in that film. It was in that way that he was introduced to director Ameer.
He joined Ameer as an assistant director and worked with him for the films Paruthiveeran, Mounam Pesiyadhe and Raam. His directorial debut was the film Subramanyapuram in 2008, the film produced by him. He also acted in that film which is all about the vagabond youths of Madurai in 1980s. This tragedy film was shot in a short span of time and turned out to be a huge success.
He produced the films Subramanyapuram, Pasanga, Easan, Poraali and Sundarapandiyan. Some of the films that he has acted include Subramaniapuram, Naadodigal, Shambo Shiva Shambo, Ko, Porali, Masters, Marina, Sundarapandiyan, etc.
