Saumya Daan Biography
Saumya Daan is an Indian voice actor who works as a dubbing artist in Bollywood and also Hollywood movies, which are dubbed to Indian languages. Apart from Voice actor, he has worked as a customer service assistant with Jet Airways until 2010 and is associated with the field since 1994. After 2010, he dedicated his full time to this field after quitting the job. Apart from movies, he is associated with several ad commercials, TV and radio programs as a voice actor.
He was born in Mumbai on March 2, 1982. He started his career as a part time dubbing artist in 1994, when he was only 12. His voice was used for dubbing several foreign language films to Hindi and other Indian languages. He has dubbed for the Indian version of numerous Hollywood movies and has completed 21 years in the field of dubbing. His first assignment was for Jerry Supiran's role as Jamie Lawson in the popular American sitcom - Small Wonder. He was only 12 then. His voice has been regularly used for certain celebrities of Hollywood, while being dubbed to Hindi; Shia LaBeouf and Joe Jonas to name a few.
He has dubbed for many artists for the Harry Porter series and has also dubbed for a few Marathi and Bengali movies. His dubbing works include – Films, animated films, Live action television, Live action films (from south Indian languages to Hindi) and many more. As a dubbing artist he has Spiderman and Archies to his credit, and the working schedule in dubbing is really flexible which helps to use spare time for dubbing. He has dubbed for Michael Bird for The Incredibles and Jim Carrey for A Christmas Carol.
