Shahid Kapoor Biography 
Shahid Kapoor is an Indian actor and trained dancer appearing in the Hindi film industry. He entered film industry in 1999 when he was 18 years old. He gave many commercial successes and soon he became a popular actor in Hindi.
He was born on 25th February 1981 in Delhi. His parents are Pankaj Kapoor and Neelima Azeem. His father is a Hindu and his mother is a Muslim. When he was three years old his parents were divorced and so he lived with his mother in his maternal grandparents’ house. His father remarried Supriya Pathak. He had good rapport with his father and stepmother.
He joined Rajhans Vidyalaya and did his schooling there. His half sister is Sanah and his half brothers are Ruhaan and Ishaan Khattar. He is a vegetarian. He was dating Kareena Kapoor for three years and then they were separated.
His career started with working for music videos and commercials like Pepsi. He joined the Shiamak Davar Institute for the Performing Arts. His first lead role was in the year 2003 in the film Ishq Vishk. He got Filmfare Best Male Debut Award for that film.
Together with the other Hindi film stars, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Esha Deol, Mallika Sherawat and few others he went on his first world tour in 2006. Some of the films that he has acted include Taal, Ishq Vishk, Fida, Dil Maange More, Deewane Huye Paagal, Shikhar, Chup Chup Ke, Vivah, Fool n Final, Chance Pe Dance, Kaminey, Kismat Konnections, Jab We Met, etc. His highest grosser are Vivah, Jab We Met and Kaminey.
He received Filmfare Best Male Debut Award for the film Ishq Vishk, Filmfare Best Actor Award for the films Jab We Met and Kaminey. He also has received Star Screen Award for Best Poular Actor, Star Screen Award Jodi No. 1, Star Screen Award for Best Actor, Zee Cine Award for Best Male Debut, Zee Cine Award for Best Actor – Male, IIFA Best Actor Award, Stardust Awards, Rajiv Gandhi Award and many other awards and honors.
