Shazahn Padamsee Biography

Shazahn Padamsee is a Bollywood actress and theatre artist who has worked as a model also. She debut Bollywood opposite Ranbir Kapoor in the year 2009, with the movie, Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year. She has also acted opposite Ajay devgan in the movie, Dil to bacha hai jee. Though these movies flopped at box office, she came to limelight. She is the daughter of noted actors Alyque Padamsee and Sharon Prabhakar. Her parents have separated years back.

She has made appearances in several stage performances of which her father’s play Unspoken Dialogues need special mention. She has been featured in many ad films as well before joining movies. Her debut movie was Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year. But this critically well acclaimed movie failed at box office due to lack of proper advertising. Somehow she played well the small role given to her.

In 2010, her two south Indian movies were released the same year marking her beginning in South Indian movies. Those movies were Orange (Telugu) and Kanimozhi (Tamil). After that she got a role in Dil to bacha hai jee, released one year later. This movie was directed by Madhur Bhandarkar. This movie also included Emraan Hashmi, Omi Vaidya, Shruti Haasan and Shraddha Das in parallel roles. But it was a box office failure. She was placed as a beautiful doll in this movie and her acting skills were not exploited wisely. Till now, her most successful movie is the sequel of Akshay kumar’s Houseful, titled, Housefull 2: The Dirty Dozen. This movie also featured John Abraham, Zarine Khan, Asin and Jacqueline Fernandez. She has also appeared in the movie Disco Valley in the year 2012. Her second Telugu movie, Golmaal is to release this year.

In her debut Tamil movie, Kanimozhi she played a simple girl. Her character name was Anu and she was casted opposite Jai in the movie. However this movie’s release was dragged due to the release of Ethiran and was later declared flop. However this love story was dubbed to Telugu as Love journey. But she was able to accumulate positive reviews for her debut Telugu movie Orange.
