Shivam Patil Biography

Shivam Patil is a young actor of Bollywood who made his Bollywood debut through 2013 movie – Nasha, where he played male protagonist opposite seductive Poonam Pandey. He is an excellent dancer and has also appeared a few shows on MTV like MTV Webbed, Yeh Hai Aashiqui and MTV Rush. He has grabbed a role in Sunny Deol’s much awaited movie - Ghayal Once Again. He is the son of famous Marathi film producer-director Dr. Mrunalinni Patil whose latest movie - Kaay Raav Tumhi is inspired from the Bollywood comedy – Shaukeens.

He is a Delhite. His mother Dr. Mrunalinni Patil is a popular filmmaker of Marathi cinema. Both acting and dancing has been Shivam’s passion and he joined acting course under Barry John. He was also a dancer of the ‘Street Soul Dance Crew’, with nicknames 'Evolution' and 'Boy Evolution'. His association with MTV started with a thirteen episode fiction show – MTV Rush in 2012. Then he was seen in "Even Family is Fair Play" of MTV Cobbed and two episodes of Yeh Hai Aashiqui.

In 2012, he made his film debut through Nasha where he portrayed male lead in the coming of age film Nasha. He played the central male character Saahil who falls in love with Anita, the dramatics teacher. Critics were impressed by his performance and called him as the surprise pack of the film. The actor believes that if someone is interested in dancing, then there’s this natural inclination towards other performing arts as well. That’s why acting appeals to him and he wants to explore it as a craft. He once got an influential piece of advice from ace director Imtiaz Ali, before he landed to the field of acting.
