Sunita Rajwar Biography

Sunita Rajwar is a film, television and stage actress from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. She is a graduate of National School of Drama, New Delhi. She appeared in Bollywood flick, Ek Chalis Ki Last Local. She received a nomination at Max Stardust Award 2008 in the category Breakthrough Performance – Female for her film role. As a television actress, she is best known for the show Yeh Rishta Kya Khalta hai. Sunita Rajwar has also written the film Striker, and a few short films. She has been featured in numerous TV ads too. She joined entertainment industry in 2001, and has worked as assistant director and model too.

Sunita Chand Rajwar was born in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. She was raised in her hometown Haldwani, Uttarakhand. She has two siblings. She studied at Nainital and later enrolled at NSD, New Delhi. She completed her graduation in 1997, before she pursued acting. She moved to Mumbai, and started giving audiences. She managed to do bit roles in Bollywood films such as Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon (2003), Buddha Mar Gaya (2007), The White Elephant, Hiss etc. Yet her role went unnoticed, and none of these movies were hits.

Her role in Ek Chalis Ki Last Local gave her the big break she was waiting for. She essayed the role of Chakli, a Mumbai gangster, for which she received a nomination at Star Dust awards, which promotes budding talents. Later she was featured in many short films and award winning independent films. Kedarnath featuring Sushant Singh Rajput is her upcoming flick, where she plays a supporting role. She has done ads aside Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor etc, and some of her ads include - "Zee Movie Magic Masti," "Maxima Watch," and "Airtel."
