Tara Sharma Biography

Tara Sharma is a beautiful actress of Bollywood and a successful TV anchor. Though she has not been a big star in Bollywood, she is known for her beautiful look and lovely smiles. She debut Bollywood with Om Jai Jagdish opposite Abhishek Bachchan singing the song, ‘Chori chori dekha tumhe’ and did wonderful performances in a few movies like Pingar (as Urmila’s younger sister), Saaya (as John Abhraham’s dead wife), Masthi (as traditional wife of Aftab Shivdasani) and Khosle sa Ghosla, a comic successful movie as leadinh heroine.

She is a British Indian who resides in Britain right now. Tara Sharma was born in 1977 as the daughter of famous writer Partap Sharma. He has acted in a few movies as well. She studied at The Bombay International School and was a brilliant student during her school days. She finished IB with a scholarship, later landed in modeling industry. Though she worked as a financial consultant, her passion to modeling and movies brought her to fashion world. She was noted as a model for ads like Pepsi, Lakme and Garnier. She did Pepsi ad along with Shah Rukh Khan.

She debut Bollywood with satish Shah’s multistar cast movie ‘Om Jai Jagdish’. The movie included a series of senior artists – Waheeda Rehman, Anil Kapoor, Mahima Chaudary, Fardeen Khan, Urmila Mathongar and Abhishek Bachchan. She was paired opposite Abhishek Bachchan. But this family drama flopped in box office. But she became a part of successful movies like Khosle ka Ghosle, Saaya and Masti. Saaya is considered as the best performance of Sharma till now. She has done a wonderful performance in Madur Bhandarkar’s Page 3 too. She played girl friend of Ritesh Deshmukh in the movie Zabardast and was featured in the title song of Akshay Kumar’s Heyy Baby.  

Her other movies include Over night, Maha rathri, Aksar, Sitam, Suno Na Ek Nanhi Aawaaz, Mumbai cutting and Duha mil gaya. Her last movie released was 10ml Love. Now she is happily married to Roopak Saluju and has two children. Now she is to host the television show - Tara Sharma Show chronicles the journey of her life.
