Tusshar Kapoor Biography

Tusshar Kapoor is the son of yesterday actor Jeetendra who was popularly known as Jumping Jack.  His sister Ekta Kapoor is a successful film maker who has given movies like Dirty picture. She has produced much successful daily soaps too.

Tusshar Kapoor debut Bollywood with Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai opposite Kareena Kapoor in 2001. Though many critics told that he is not mature enough to become the hero of films, the movie became a hit at box office with wonderful songs. His role as a romantic hero, who fails to reveal his love to Kareena Kapoor was appreciated very much. He was paired again with Kareena Kapoor for the movie, Jeena sirf mere liye. But the movie was not able to replicate the success of Jeena sirf mere liye. He works as a romantic hero as well as a comedy star and he has equal hits and flops in his account.  

Though he was not able to reproduce success movies as his debut one, he has been associated with numerous hit movies in multistar cast or double hero movies. Golmaal package is the best example where Tusshar has given a good performance as the role of a dumb. His comedy has contributed a lot in the success of Golmaal 1,2 and 3. His work in Dirty picture is also remarkable – the movie produced by his sister. He has proved himself as a comedy actor in Golmaal series, Kya kool hain hum, Kya super kool hai hum, Dhol and One two three. He has also contributed in making many movies successful, though in the supporting character role.  Movies that can be included in the list are Shoot out at Lokhandwala, Khakhi, Kuch to hai, Shor in the city, Dirty picture and Golmaal series.

It can be said that, though Tusshar is not able make big hits in the industry, he somehow manages to make low budget movies successful. He has worked with his father in the suspense thriller Kuch to hai and has been associated with Balaji Films for many successful movies. He has worked with many leading ladies of the industry. Kareena Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Ayesha Takia, Anita Hassanandani , Easha Deol, Natassha, Tanisha and Anjana Sukhani. He got best debut award for Mujhe kuch kehna hai and has been nominated for best actor in supporting role for Golmaal returns.

He has been one among the leading actors of Bollywood who has not been associated with any co-actress and has a clean image in Bollywood.
