Suneil Anand Biography
Suneil Anand is a Bollywood actor, better known as the son of the legendary actor, Dev Anand. He is one among those star sons of Bollywood who couldn’t recreate the same magic as their parents did. Dev Anand launched his son through the movie - Anand aur Anand (1984) and in 2001 Suneil made his directorial debut through Masters – India’s first movie on martial arts. Also it is the first Indian film that is shot in China. He has appeared as an actor only in a few Bollywood movies and all those fell flat at box office. Car Thief (1986), Main Tere Liye (1988), and Master (2001) are his appearances onscreen apart from his debut movie, and all are flops. He is busy now with a Hollywood film titled - "Vagator Mixer", where he plays the dual role of an actor and director.
He was born in Zurich, Switzerland. Instead of giving importance to film career, he did a double major in Business Administration and Mass Communication from American University, Washington before making his Bollywood debut. He studied martial arts for eighteen years and has also received training under Grandmaster Sifu Leung Ting from Hong Kong. With his experience in martial arts, he made his directorial debut in 2001 with “Masters”. His master also played a pivot role in his movie.
He is the nephew of famous film celebrities - Chetan Anand and Vijay Anand. Famous film maker Shekhar Kapur is his cousin. His sisters are married to actors Navin Nischol and Parikshit Sahni. His aunt Uma Anand was a noted journalist, actress and a broadcaster in the mid-1900s.
