Siddarth Malhotra is an upcoming actor of Bollywood. He played lead role in Karan Johar’s Student of the year in 2012. The movie starred a set of new comers - Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sana Saeed and himself in lead roles. All its actors were praised by critics. Yet it was the wonderful performance and stunning looks of Malhotra that stole everyone’s heart. He also received nomination for best debutant at Filmfare, Star Screen awards and ZEE Film awards though he couldn’t win any. But he received Breakthrough Performance—Male at Star Dust awards and Debut Actor of the Year—Male at South Africa India Film and Television Awards. He is a successful model also featured in various magazines and ramp shops and this youth icon was voted as the most ‘good looking debutant’ of 2012 by a UK poll. He also ranked #12 at Times' 50 Most Desirable men of 2012.

Sidharth Malhotra was born on January 16, 1985 in Delhi to Rimma Malhotra, a housewife and Sunil Malhotra, captain in Merchant Navy. Later the family moved to Mumbai where Sidharth completed his schooling at St. Xavier’s school. He started his career as a ramp model during his college days where he did ramp walks for leading fashion designers like Manish Malhotra and Rohit Bal. Later he, along with Varun Dhawan assisted Karan Johar in My Name is Khan. In 2012, both made Bollywood debut aside Alia Bhatt with the movie, Student of the year. It was for the first time, Karan Johar did a project without SRK as main lead. But Gauri Khan was also the producer of this movie.

When Karan Johar directed a set of youngsters, it was widely appreciated and this movie became a super hit of the year. Sidharth’s upcoming projects include - Hasee Toh Phasee opposite Parineeti Chopra and Mohit Suri's The Villain alongside Shraddha Kapoor. He has also been roped for Karan Johar’s yet to finalize movie, where he will work aside two heroines.
